HELP WITH NEIGHBORHOOD SAFETY
Help reduce strangers in our neighborhood and reduce the flyers on your doorstep.
Place a "NO SOLICITING" sign on your door. Ask to see "permit" of any door to door sales people.
This will make the neighborhood cleaner, safer and likely increase advertising in the newsletter and on our neighborhood website
http://www.mynhha.org/
Please contact your SAFFE officer if you receive door to door solicitations or phone 311.

Do you enjoy landscaping? Come and participate in planting and maintaining the landscaped areas at our entrances. Visit Contacts page for rep. info.
Each month from April through August a "yard of the month" will be selected in each area by judges.
You can volunteer to be a judge. Judges are needed to select a yard each month and to notify the winner in each area.
Visit Contacts page for Area rep. contact info.
Our Northern Hills Yard of the Month (YOM) selection has been delayed until May. YOM Manager, Clare Coleman, explained that many of our yards
were affected by the late freeze. This will give you another month to get your yard ready to be a YOM winner! Here are some things the judges are looking for:
If you missed the Northern Hills General Meeting, Rick Murta with Northern Hills Curb Appeal, gave us some good information about yard maintenance - now is the time to compost and fertilize - use Preen in flowerbeds and pre-emergent on the lawn - wait until the fall to trim oak trees.
Did you notice the improvements?
Many of our Northern Hills residents have most likely seen the excellent improvements going on at our main neighborhood entryway at Thousand Oaks and Scarsdale.
Beautification Manager Ray Blankenberg asked that we give special recognition to volunteers Suzanne and Jessie Ong for their wonderful efforts including the re-lettering of the two giant stones on either side of the main entrance. Ray pointed out that their re-lettering work has made the neighborhood name Northern Hills really stand out.
Thanks to all our volunteers like Suzanne and Jessie for helping keep our neighborhood looking great!
Do you enjoy working with plants? Ray would love to have some help with the Northern Hills entrances. Contact Ray Blankenberg - rayblankenberg@gmail.com.
